Gabriel Ben started working for WVLT in July of 2002 as the morning news anchor giving you, the listener, news updates at 25 minutes after the hour and five before the hour, between 6 am and 9 am Monday through Friday during the Andy Volvo program.

Gabriel Ben is a graduate of Temple University in Philadelphia with a Bachelor's Degree in Broadcasting. Gabriel's radio career began while he was attending college starting in 1998 working for WRTI in Philadelphia (the non-commercial classical music/jazz station owned by the university) as a board operator and fill-in announcer.

He later worked in the newsroom as a general assignment/sports reporter and eventually becoming the station's Sports Director. Gabriel Ben says some of his fondest memories in radio include coverage of The Republician National Convention, The Phillies, Eagles, and Sixers, Election Night in Philadelphia, and interviewing countless numbers of celebrity athletes.

While working for the college station, Gabriel Ben also filed stories for Radio Pennsylvania (Radio PA), a state network newswire. Gabriel was also a member of Temple Update, Temple University's TV news show (aired over Philadelphia cable outlets), where he worked as an Entertainment anchor/reporter.

Residing in Washington Township, Gabriel Ben's birthday is May 18th, a Taurus. He says that his hobbies include music production, DJ'ing, collecting music, traveling and visiting warm weather places like Miami and Los Angeles.

He is said to love both Italian and Mexican food (usually not mixed together) and loves area sports including the Phils, Eagles, Sixers and the Temple Owls. During the summer of 2001, Gabriel Ben traveled across the country for 32 days. Nicknamed Gabe, he visited 20 cities in the United States, Canada and Mexico. His travels outside the U.S. borders included Aruba, the Bahamas and the Dominican Republic.

Gabriel Ben did the news on Andy Volvo's morning show here on Cruisin' 92.1, WVLT from July 2002 to June 2003.
