Let’s Go Back to the Beginning!
1964-1969: A lead singer of recording artist the “Soul Survivors” receiving a Gold Record for their hit “Expressway To Your Heart.” Followed by a 2nd hit, “Explosion In My Soul.” With the “Soul Survivors,” he performed along with Big Brother and the Holding Co., Janis Joplin, Eric Clapton, Cream, Canned Heat, Richie Havens, & Strawberry Alarm Clock.
Toured with : Beach Boys & Buffalo Springfield Smokey Robinson & The Miracles Flip Wilson The Contours
TV Performances: Joey Bishop Show Johnny Carson Show Hollywood Palladium Hullabaloo American Bandstand
1970-1972: Formed the band “Roman Candyl,” becoming the featured act at Caesar’s Palace, (Nero’s Nook), Las Vegas, Nevada. Became the house band at the Stardust Club in Wildwood, NJ (2 years). Formed the band “Scorpion,” and wrote the local hit “Can’t Get Blood From Stone”
1973-1976: Became a lead singer for “Shirley & Co.” and received a Gold Record for their hit “Shame, Shame, Shame,” including an extensive tour of Europe representing the US at the 1975 international Song Festival in Venice, Italy along with various TV & Radio appearances in America.
1976-1996: Became a Lead Singer of the band “Full House” one of the most well-known and popular bands in the Tri-State area. Full House went on to become the featured act at Bally’s TV Variety Club Telethon (5 years).
1997-Present: A lead singer and the leader of the “Jeremiah Hunter Band.” Based in Atlantic City, the band has become local favorites in all the Casinos, performing VIP and special events. Performing also at the Foxwood Casino and Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut, along with being the Legends In Concert Band in Los Angeles.
2007-Present: Kenny Jeremiah & Bittersweet Duo also based in the Atlantic City area— Local favorites in the Casinos, smaller VIP venues, special events, weddings and restaurant nightclubs.
2009-Present: Kenny Jeremiah- Member of the Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia, an organization of over 400 area broadcasters and performers with successful radio, TV and recording careers.
Cruisin’ 92.1 WVLT’s Kenny Jeremiah can be heard Tuesday evenings from 10pm-11pm along with DJ Pepper Paul on “The Good Time Old Time Rock-n-Soul Show” With a little help from our friend, “Cruisin’ Down Abbey Road” host Joe Cook, Good music, great guests, and an introduction to new artists playing Good Time, Old Time, Rock-n Soul Music.
