Cruisin' 92.1, WVLT air personality Johnny Lerro chats with old pals, Gene Crane and John Carlton. Gene spent over a half century at WCAU-TV, Channel 10. John Carlton has done many things during his career, but many of us remember Carlton as the guy doing the traffic reports from the GO Patrol helicopter. In 1968, John Carlton and his pilot became heroes. They landed on the burning roof of a flaming apartment building occupied by senior citizens. They awoke all the tenants and all were saved. The GO Patrol lifted off the roof just before it it caved in. Carlton is truly an American hero.
